Well done for allethorpe. 3hrs 25 fantastic. I did do the Leeds tri at the beginning of sept. It was during the really windy spell. I had a great time, but did fall off my bike still feet stuck to the pedals. I took a bit longer than you....3 hrs 45 and came 5th from last. I will certainly do it next year. I was tempted by holmfirth, but i havent swum in a pool for a competition before. I hate busy lanes!!!! Next year i aim to do ripon, allethorpe and maybe even try for a half iron man (LOL) at the end of next season. I am having to concentrate on running now...i am v slow. I DO hope we meet up at one of these races. Would be good. All the best with the holmfirth butties. I may go and watch it. M 1942 days ago
Im only just starting my training for olympic, so iwont be ready for August. I hope to do leeds in September. I bought a racing bike off ebay......after looking for 2 weeks. I got a dream of a bike for £400. (Bianchi) at the moment though, i am in the early stages of mastering clipless pedals, with bruises to show for it. I will master them though. All the best for August. What training are you doing? Ive got brick sessions planned from bike to run. I hate the run bit. Im going to start off with 16 mile bike ride followed by 10k run every sunday!!!!! gradually building up the bike distance!!! 2019 days ago
When is Allerthorpe? Im planning on moving upto olympic in september. I reckoned that if i managed 3 triathlons within 4 weeks, i should be able to do the olympic distance. Have you joined a tri club? I have now just read your blog from your first triathlon. I thought i was reading my own experience. I love the bike, especialy going down hill. Good luck for your tri. "Beautiful Woman Award! Once you've been given this award, you have to paste it on the wall of 8 women who deserve it. If you receive more than 3, you know you're really beautiful! If you break the chain, nothing will happen, but it's always good to know someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out"
