I'm Mishelle and I've been an active member of Spark since 2006! I first joined to lose weight before my wedding and loved the program. At my lowest, I had lost almost 60 pounds! I've had some ups and downs since then, but I've never returned to my starting weight since I joined - Spark works. I was always the "fat kid" growing up: I was the youngest member of my Weight Watchers group when I joined at 17, and the weight was back within 6 months. SP helps me keep it off!

Even though I'm only 31, I've struggled with bursitis in both of my hips for about 2 years, which is a result of standing up (and not being allowed to sit) during my 11-14 hour shifts at work. It's painful and SO frustrating that sometimes finding activity I can do is a challenge. There's no real cure for bursitis, but I've been able to get it under control so I can exercise again - YAY!!!

I've been married for almost 7 years, and we've finally decided to start planning for a baby (although not for awhile still!) and I am 100% determined to improve my health so I can improve my chances of a healthy pregnancy and live a longer life overall! I know I can do this, I've done it before, and I need to MAKE IT HAPPEN!

My Goals:
Long term goal: reach goal weigh (59lbs to go) before 2013 is over. Be ready to discuss trying to get pregnant!

Medium range goal: lose 15 lbs by June 8th.

Short term goal: lose 2 lbs per week.

My Program:
My program changes from time to time, but I'm really focused on a few basic things:

1. Track calories daily and stay within my range 80% of the time
2. Do Spark Coach daily.
3. Exercise 2-3x per week, depending on my work schedule.
4. Practice positive affirmations every day

Personal Information:
I live just outside Portland, Oregon, where I run a veterinary clinic by day and also own Pinky's Paper Crafts - a website for my custom handmade scrapbooks and party accessories. I love reality TV, wine and crafting. I've been married for 6 years and we have an adorable 5-year-old bunny named Pancakes!

Other Information:
I believe there is no reason for us all not to reach our goals with SP. I have met all the other goals I have set for myself for education, career, etc, so why should getting to my goal weight and living healthy be any different? ITS NOT! WE WILL ALL MAKE IT!

I'm so proud of you. You still have time to drop a bit this week if you drop your calories. Did you do any exercise this week? That would really help. When do you leave on you vacation?

I don't have anything exciting to report today. I am holding at 147.8 which is fine. I don't expect to loose every day. I'm home all day today so I can eat at home. I did 20 minutes of cardio with my sister on my bicycle trainer yesterday with 30 second sprints evey two minutes. We are going to do it again tomorrow and Saturday.

Got my horeses manicure yesterday and I get mine today. That always makes me feel good. Till tomorrow.

I forgot I hd a meeting yesterday where they feed us. It's usually sandwiches or pizza. Yesterday it was sanwiches. As I was looking for my usual turkey choice I spied a cesar salad so I grabbed that. I left the chips and cookie on the table for someone else so it wouldn't be in front of me as temptation. I took the croutons off the salad and dipped my fork in the creamy dressing instead of dumping it all over my salad. I ate that and the fruit only. I didn't snack all afternoon.

Even thought our official weighin day is Monday I couldn't help seeing how I was doing so I got on the scale this morningl. I'm down 3 pounds. Woohoo! IF I can keep up this rate I will reach my goal of 10 pounds by my wedding.

How did you do yesterday?

Congrats on your 10 pounds Now you need to use that a motivation to stay on target, Don't do ike I did and looe a week due to temptation. Just think, you still have time to loose the next four to meet your mini goal. You can go out with your friends and still make healthy choices. Doesn't the restaurant have salads, grilled, chicken or fish? YOu don't have to eat junk just because it is there. I know you can do it You've done it before. You can always eat your protein bar before you go then have a small salad and tea to be social. Just tell them you are not very hungry. emoticon

I'm holding at 150.8. I need to break the plateau. Tomorrow I excercise with my sister so hopefully that will do it for me. Wish me luck. I have just four weeks to loose 10 p;ounds for my wedding. Now the spluring I did last week doesn't seem worth it.

I only did 10 minutes of exercise yesterday because my legs were really sore, but I am proud I pushed thtough any at all after a week of not doing any. I may not have time today, but I have PT this morning so that will be some activity at least. My sister is back from her London trip and we will start together again on Wednesday.

I tracked my food yesterday and went over on net carbs but under on total carbs so my weight stayed the same today, I'm holding at 150.8. I'll start working on my net carbs today so I can drop some this week. The wedding is 4 weeks from tomorrow.

I'm so proud of you. You did great at the party with only one beer. Only one donut is also good progress. You are back on track today. Since this is a lifetyle one day isn't a big deal, unless they start coming too often and too close together. I look forward to your weigh in tomorrow.

Make a great SP day today.
