It has occurred to me that those with significant weight to lose sometimes have an attitude of "when I lose... I will...." Losing may or may not happen but one thing is guaranteed. We have one life to live and none of us can predict exactly how long it is. Why not make the most of it NOW!

I am not suggesting that I do not want to work on health, fitness and diet but rather that there is no magic level I must reach to begin DOING the living of life!

Buy some clothes that fit and go on and make that trip to the beach, mountains, amusement park or museum. Go to that family reunion. They want to visit with you - they aren't going to put you on the scales.

My Goals:
1) Lose 10 pounds in BTS Q2.
2) Get 45000 steps a week minimum.
3) Strength Train 2 x a week.
4) Get to ONEDERLAND.


My Program:
I am eating within my calorie range and exercising 40-60 minutes a day. I continue to cook healthy foods and widen my food selections to include more fruits, vegetables, grains, and lean proteins. I track my food and fitness faithfully.

I am married with one grown son, three dachshunds and an african grey parrot.

    Crowd out poor health habits. Choose activity before TV. Eat 3 veggies first for each meal. You will crowd out the less healthy choices.

    The road to a healthier version of you may have many twists and turns. There may be detours and many tempting parking spots along the way. But, if you follow your map (an effective eating plan and physical training) and be aware of any trouble spots ahead by listening to traffic reports (mental conditioning and education), you will reach your desired destination (a healthy, maintainable weight). It may take you a little longer than you originally thought, but thatís ok. You want to enjoy your journey and, when the road is a bit slippery and treacherous, you want to be safe. Oh, and donít forget to stop and ask your SparkPals for directions when you get confuzzled along the way.
