Last week I decided to go back to faithfully weighing, measuring and tracking my food. I also committed to trying for 10K steps 6 days a week. Tracking works for me. It helps me realize how much and how often I'm eating which is necessary because I've been an unmindful consumer of food for decades.

I tried an experiment of just making better choices etc. That did not work so I pulled out the food scales, loaded the app in my smartphone and I'm already seeing results.

Just 3 weeks ago I turned sixty! I can remember as a child thinking that was REALLY old. While my body definitely shows signs of wear and tear INSIDE I feel pretty much as I always have.

I've been very distracted this past year with house construction, moving, my mother's health decline and responsibilities outside the home. Now I'm going to make some time for myself. I've set a goal to lose 38 pounds this year.

My Goals:
1) Lose 10 pounds in BTS Q2.
2) Get 45000 steps a week minimum.
3) Strength Train 2 x a week.
4) Get to ONEDERLAND.


My Program:
I am eating within my calorie range and exercising 40-60 minutes a day. I continue to cook healthy foods and widen my food selections to include more fruits, vegetables, grains, and lean proteins. I track my food and fitness faithfully.

I am married with one grown son, three dachshunds and an african grey parrot.

    Crowd out poor health habits. Choose activity before TV. Eat 3 veggies first for each meal. You will crowd out the less healthy choices.
