Strength, stress relief, and one second of golden light

That is what I want to have in every single day.

As my age and goals progress, I think about something that I read on (cringe) Oprah: Practice does not make perfect, it makes permanent. I think about the things that I want to have forever, and those are the things I am most determined to practice.

There is a lot in the world to see and do. I would like to do them, as the best version of me.

Hey, thanks for stopping by the blog! If the guy you passed had a look of happiness and contentment on his mug, he was doing it right! Hopefully, he passed you mindfully, as we're all trail users and share the trail. Unfortunately, winter is hanging on here, freezing rain today, and miserable out. Saw some runners out, and a couple of cyclists, but not for me today. Will stay in and get that strength training in.

Hope all is well on your Monday!

Ugh, had to just give up and go to bed last night at 8:30. This time change hit me like a ton of bricks...I keep waiting to get used to it, but it's taking time. Aside from my little frosty drink slip-up last night, though, I am doing well. Off to run my mile for today, then some ab work, and then doing some healthy, sugar-free cooking. Yay for Saturdays!

Good, brief run this morning after a super-challenging boot camp workout last night. Jumping jacks every hour at work today to combat the new desk job lethargy. Irrational thoughts about M&Ms all day long. Currently, I am not eating Luna bars.

Yesterday went well! I feel like I'm not missing out on anything, iykwim. Macronutrients are ok--I was already getting plenty of protein and staying where I should with carbs, for the most part, but even those have improved a little. I know I need more iron and Vit D, so I'm working on those. Happy pi day! I think that on this important occasion, following the letter of the law is ok. Look, here's some honey pi:

Day two was a difficult, emotional day, but I navigated it without defaulting to my usual "fix." Today will be better. It is interesting to see what wants in when sweets are shut out! Rocking on!
