170 lbs. 5' I love to eat.. My Momma and Aunties (on both sides of my family), are chubby -beautiful, but chubby! I could blame the genes, but that will not get me into my jeans:) I have two amazing children, 18y/o daughter and 15 y/o son. I want for them to be inspired by Me working on being a healthier and sexier Mama. My wonderful boyfriend supports my weight-loss kick, he loves me to the ends of the earth and finds me beautiful at every size. Needless to say I have the best cheerleaders.
I have tried numerous diets, Atkins, Jenny Craig, Slim Fast, and counting calories (I hate doing that!). My problem seems to be that as soon as I start seeing progress I decide that I can “cheat” a little and get right back on the diet. Unfortunately, the perfectionist side of me shows up and decides that since I cheated once today that the day is shot and I should just have what I want for the rest of the day. That “one day” turns into a whole week or more and I gain it all back. I know how frustrating and depressing dieting can be. I have always felt like a prisoner to their guidelines, eat this, don’t eat that, count every calorie you ever eat for the rest of your life. As many of you know, we don’t have time for this for the rest of our lives! I get to a place when I'm not feeeling myself in my skin at this point (weight) the low self esteem and a totally distorted body image kick into high gear, but am selfless by nature so it doesn't diminish the quality of my life. Everyone says that I'm beautiful and that I look fine. Until I feel fine I wont be completely happy with me.
This time is different. This time I know that to be the woman I want to be I need to lose weight, get in shape, and regain my self confidence.

Friends are helpful along our journey, so benificial and important! They can motivate us, inspire us, keep us in check. Give us new ideas, discover activities or new foods w us , or just be a shoulder to cry on or an ear to vent to. They can empathize. They can sympathize. They can celebrate our successes and help us when we fall down. They understand what we are going through and it is comforting to know they are there for us....
With that being said are you going to be a FRIEND or a name on a friend list ?
