Losing weight, gaining confidence.

*****Goals as of January 2011*****:
Another year gone by. So many thing have happened in the 12 months of 2010. I reached my goal weight of 120lbs (this took me almost 3 years) and then I gained most of it back again. I didn't really stop exercising (except December 2010 when I was in India on vacation). However, not so good eating habits coupled with a change in my PCOD medication made me gain the weight. 2011 is an important year for me. Some career goals need to be realized and so it is going to be highly stressful (atleast till August). My goal is to not let the stress get the better of me. Like last year, I need to overcome my stress eating habits and try to stick to working out regularly and eating mindfully. Heres to another year with SP! :)

I am still trying to shake off 18 odd lbs. However, right now I am trying to focus more on overcoming my nightly emotional eating binges and trying to stick to working out regularly and eating mindfully.
I am so so so grateful to my EE team for helping me with my EEing, which can reach manic proportions at times. :)
Tripping, Falling, Picking myself up, Struggling, but never giving up! :)

*****Goals when I had joined SP in 2008*****:
These are the goals I hope to achieve by December 1, 2009.
I'm almost 32-35 pounds overweight and this takes a toll on my confidence. I want to change my lifestyle and incorporate healthy eating and exercising in my daily routine.
I want to lose weight, but I want to do it sensibly, without starving myself and without going crazy exercising/working out.
I'm looking for people who can help me stay focused and keep me motivated, and I hope to do the same for them. :)

My Goals:
I have lost some weight with SP in the last (almost) 2 years.
Theres still more to go:
From 130 lbs-118lbs, slowly and steadily.

My Program:
1. Cardio 5-6 times a week. New plan includes Zumba and Spinning (till May 2011).
2. Strength training atleast 3 times a week.

Personal Information:
Hey! I'm a 24 year old grad student. I've been struggling with my weight ever since I was diagnosed with PCOS 7 years ago. The hormonal pills I'm supposed to take for my condition, make me gain weight like crazy.
I'm gonna put in my best to lose weight and get healthy and happy the right way :)



Other Information:
I do not believe in diet fads, detox cleanses, pills/fluids and other quick fixes.
I realize that it has taken me a long long time to lose the weight that I have lost in the last 2 years, but in my heart I know that I have done it right and without depriving myself ever. I CANNOT give up my beloved dark chocolate, something that I have regularly (in moderation). There are no taboo foods in my book but I do think twice before putting things into my body. My general awareness about nutrition, fitness, my body etc has definitely changed for the better ever since I joined SP in 2008.
Thank you SP. This beautiful journey continues....

Thank you for the blog comment. Trying to stay positive. Sunshine would brighten up my days. I think most living in the northeast wish for warm weather. Still itching to get my canine pals on a walking schedule. Gloomy rainy wet weather again today.

What I think? The Booty Barre kicked my booty! LOL .. I could only do 5 min. Perhaps more tomorrow.
