It's time for me to stop choosing:
convenience over health
family before myself
and
laziness over activity

I'm really excited for the next stage of changing my diet! I've been doing a Very Low Calorie Diet consisting of shakes and bars for 12 weeks (yes, even through the holidays). Wednesday, I start my transition back to real food and changing how I have been eating my entire life. I already have my first meal planned out... Savory Chicken Saute and Cabbage ...

I'm really excited for the next stage of changing my diet! I've been doing a Very Low Calorie Diet consisting of shakes and bars for 12 weeks (yes, even through the holidays). Wednesday, I start my transition back to real food and changing how I have been eating my entire life. I already have my first meal planned out... Savory Chicken Saute and Cabbage Soup (both from Spark Recipes).

While I am so excited about the next steps, the VLCD plan I've been doing has had me eating between 700 and 850 calories each day, I am also very nervous. I know the calories are low, but don't worry, it's been monitored by doctors the entire time.

Managing 1200-1500 calories a day and exchanges of food groups is a little outside of my areas of knowledge. I'm relearning A LOT about food. All I know right now is that my mindset is in the right place to make the right changes. I'm a little scared to get up to 1200 calories and even more scared that I'll go over. But I am excited to have Sparkpeople behind me to keep me on the right track.

My Program:
I am transitioning back to regular food from a Very Low Calorie Diet program through my health provider. A challenging 12 weeks of shakes and bars. I've already lost 40 pounds!

My current program:
~4oz of lean protein and 1 cup of cooked veggies and a piece of fruit each day. Sometimes I overdo it on the veggies... but I'm pretty sure no one screwed up their weightloss plan by overeating veggies!
~Cardio for 35 minutes 3x/week
~Weights (arms, legs and core) 3x/week
~8 glasses of water/day
