Because of the drought, some business have re-landscaped, and are using drought tolerant plants. No grass. I can kind of understand their theory, but on the other hand, drought's do not last forever. We have been through this before, we will go through it again. I am glad they have been using Joshua Trees as part of their landscape. They can only pick certain trees, because Joshua Trees do not transplant easily. Luckily they have an expert for that task. Most of the homes on my street just let their lawns go. The city asked us not to water, or water at night. Technically one should water early am. Watering at night here can lead to fungus. So I don't understand their theory there. We were going to put new sod down this year, but decided to wait until next spring.
Glad you have some rain too. We are in our dry season now. This Fall El Nino should kick in, and we will get plenty of rain.

Thank you fit your comment. I was very fortunate that I got to go church with my Mom. She every time she could it was real hard for her when she was no longer able to go. She always looked forward to go to church.
