I am learning a lot about myself. I am changing.
Each day I discover something new about my tastes, likes, boundaries and who I want to shape myself into being - not just my body, but my heart/soul.

I have come back/forth to Sparkpeople, tried different approaches and dropped off the fitness map altogether.

Recently, something in me changed. It wasn't an "aha" moment by any means - but like the subtle flipping of a switch somewhere deep inside.

"Even if the challenges are immense and the obstacles are many, step forward and live the life you choose to live. Your dreams are worth every effort.
Even if you get knocked down again and again, get right back up and get going. With enough persistence, any goal is within your reach.
Even if you can’t see all the way to the end of the road, go ahead and take the first step. Each time you make some progress, you’ll find new ways to make even more.
Even if your results fall short of your expectations, keep making the effort. Each new day brings you more experience, wisdom and effectiveness.
Even if you’ve been deeply disappointed in the past, focus on the positive possibilities. For your future is what you choose to make it now."
— Ralph Marston

"Part of abandoning the all-or-nothing mentality is allowing yourself room for setbacks. We are bound to have lapses on the road to health and wellness, but it is critical that we learn how to handle small failures positively so that we can minimize their long-term destructive effects.
One setback is one setback—it is not the end of the world, nor is it the end of your journey toward a better you.”
-Jillian Michaels
