2008 - This year, I'm going to reach my goal

I will be 40 years old this year. I've always envisioned myself being this totally together person by the time I was 40, and it's time that I just go on and be the person I want to be. I am no longer going to be ruled by my fears. I will be organized. I will be more confident. I'm not going to be concerned with what other people think. And I'm going to reach my fitness goals. Not TRY, I'm going to DO IT! I really want to accomplish this, and I feel like I have the tools (thanks, Spark!) ...

Hello again! :) Glad to see we're on another team together...yay!! Well, before this year I was never much of a runner. I didn't like it and only ran if I was being chased. LOL. Then I did the C25K program in February/March and realized that it's actually an awesome feeling to be able to run for pleasure. After the C25K, my goal was to keep running for at least 30 minutes a few times a week. However, running kind of fell by the wayside for me as the year wore on, so I lost my stamina. I'm lucky to last 10 minutes on the treadmill these days. :( It's so true that if you don't use it, you lose it. LOL! I do all kinds of other exercises, but sadly haven't kept up with the running. But I hope to start it back up after the new year and hopefully sign up for a 5K. That would give me the motivation I need to keep going. It's always good for me to have something concrete to work toward. My husband also is getting back into running, so having a running buddy will help too.
Anyway...I think I wrote a novel here on your page. Have a great day and Happy New Year!! :) :) Again, nice to meet you.
