 I am walking instead of taking the bus to places close by. I stopped eating fast food. Next I'd like to cut out cafeteria food. I drink mainly water. Eventually when I get used to this, I will begin adding more exercise.

Hey Steph,
Thanks for the introduction note. Nice to "meet" you! It sounds like you have some great goals in mind, and I really respect your desire to "change your own story". That's awesome that you plan to become a pediatrician! I raised 2 daughters and am now the proud grandma of 3...including a newborn grandson (the first boy in the family) in Chicago. I taught music for many years and am now dating another musician and trying to get reconnected with my music as a hobby, now that my career is in IT. Consequently, I have always loved American Idol and am very sad to see Steven and JLo leave. I thought they brought new life to the show, and I know many people who watched just because of them. I really hope that whoever replaces them keeps the viewing audience engaged so that the show can continue successfully for at least a couple of more seasons. Yes, we will definitely have lots to talk about. I look forward to getting to know you better!

Hi!
Thank you so much for volunteering to lead the American Idol team. I've just come back from a busy and chaotic time in which I was laid off from my job and ran into some real financial issues. I let the slump get the best of me and didn't make time for one of my favorite things in life...Sparkpeople and the American Idol team. But I'm fortunate in that I have found a new job, but am in the process of relocating for it. Once I get settled in, I'll get back into the swing of things. I appreciate having someone to co-lead the American Idol team with, and the off-season will give us time to communicate about some new challenges and ideas for the team.
