I joined Spark People in 10/09 to learn healthy habits and lose weight. I have lost 11.5# and my goal is 18 but more than that, I would like to achieve optimal health. This is a long journey for me but I won't stop until I reach a weight that is healthy for me.

My Goals:
Work on my health from all angles and gradually lose 18#.


My Program:
1_ Do the South Beach diet, combined with Spark People, until I reach my goals. Medium term: lose and maintain 2-3 more # in 2014.

2_Increase the calories burned through fitness and "be an athlete for me."

3_Eat 4-5 fruits and veggies a day.

4_Spark People Every Day!

5_No more than a "fist-full" of carbs day...and no refined carbs.

6_Reduce alcohol.

7_Lower my A1C score by 12/31/14.
