I joined Spark People in 10/09 to learn healthy habits and lose weight. I have lost 14 and my goal is 6 more. However, more than that, I would like to achieve optimal health. This is a long journey for me but I won't stop until I reach a weight and a "health state" that is for me.

My Goals:
Lose 20 and keep it off.

Improve health indicators.

Become much more active in 2016.



My Program:
1_ Do the South Beach/ Glycemic Load diets, combined with Spark People, until I reach my goals. Medium term: get into the 130's this winter.

2_Increase the calories burned through fitness and "be an athlete for me." Find a regular strength training routine.


3_Eat 4-5 fruits and veggies a day.

4_Spark People Every Day!

5_No more than a "fist-full" of carbs day...and really reduce refined carbs.

6_Keep reducing alcohol.
