I joined Spark People in 10/09 to learn healthy habits and lose weight. I had lost 12# but gained it back last year ('12) after a very long bout with walking pneumonia, bronchitis and allergies. My exercise program really suffered during this time. I started SP again this year because it works. I have lost 9 so far and will not stop until I reach my goal.

Work on my health from all angles and gradually lose 18#.


My Program:
1_ Do the South Beach diet, combined with Spark People, until I reach my goals. Medium term: lose 3 more # by summer.

2_210 or more fitness minutes/week. How?
Do exercise video 2 x week; do yoga 3 x week; hike/bike/walk at all other times.

3_Work to have 1/2 of my plate fruits/veggies at almost every meal.

4_Spark People Every Day!

5_No more than 3/4 to 1 C carbs day.

6_Reduce alcohol.
