Getting Healthy

My goals are to finally get healthy so I can enjoy the second half of my life. At 47 years old it's time to get it together. I don't want to be sick and tired anymore. I want to watch my grandson grow up and have enough energy to go places with him.

My Goals:
My goals are to get healthy so I can enjoy the 2nd half of my life.
When I reach my goal weight of 145 I plan to go on my dream vacation to Alaska. I am saving the money formerly spent on junk food to help fund the trip.

My Program:
I have given up soft drinks. Started counting calories, eating healthier food and exercising.

Personal Information:
I was born and raised in Louisville, KY.

Other Information:
My favorite pastime is reading but I am trying to spend a little less time doing it so I can exercise more.

Believe it or not....I'm having trouble meeting my daily calorie intake goals of 1200 - 1550. I'm pretty certain I was eating and drinking enough soft drink to meet that number by lunch time or sooner. It's amazing what happens when you ditch the soft drink and buy healthier food. emoticon
