I lost 90 pounds several years ago, through diet, exercise and yoga. Unfortunately, in the last few years, I gained 60 pounds, and all but quit exercising. During this time, I went through some significant personal crisis, resulting in my moving to Puerto Rico in 2009. Due to the limited access to fresh foods and lack of motivation, I pretty much stayed static with my weight and health. Fortunately, my hubby and I have now been relocated to Florida, and it is time to get things back under control. . . .

Fitness Minutes: 3,410

My Goals:

1. Plan and stick to my healthy eat plan.
2. Exercise 30 minutes daily, 6 days a week.
3. Find my "freedom" size through moderation and balance.
4. Accept what needs to be done and just do it and get on with life.

My Program:
Food: Eating 1,200 - 1,500 calories.
Exercise: 30 minutes cardio 6 days a week
General Health: Journal each day, dedicate time to my spirituality, and recognize negative energy in my life and eleminate it.

My name is Tammy - Pfifer was a high school nickname. After going through a tough divorce, my business collapsing, and and packing on the pounds, I have found myself needing to make change. I am tired of either being obsessed with every morsel that I put in my mouth, or going to the other extreme, total neglect of my body. As long as I don't have balance, my focus is on food, and my weight - and life is too short for that. I now have a wonderfully supportive husband, and together, we are working to find that balance. This time I will find my "freedom" size. When I was a size 4, I had to be aware of every morsel I put into my mouth. Tracking food, obsessively working out, and compulsively weighing myself. At size 16 I am totally neglectful of my body - giving not a second thought to exercise or nutrition. . . this time I will find the size, where I simply enjoy my life.     Heyy, remember me?! I posted a blog about scones and you shared my pain. Here's the thing... I found a recipe in Cooking Light magazine for low cal scones! It's about 160 calories for one, which isn't the greatest, but it's a heck of a lot better than something you could get at Starbucks.

    Hello, and Happy Monday! I hope your weekend was good. Thank you for the encouragement re: the Walk for the Cure. I'm still turning the idea around...I've NEVER done anything like that before. I was the kid who couldn't do the ONE pull-up in P.E. class (oh the horror!). So I know that even just trying it would be huge for me. I can't wait until the info packet comes in...maybe I can get a group together to walk it with me. :) All's well over this way anyway...saw a loss this week, and I still feel great....if a little bit antsy. Isn't it hysterical?? I used to be able to do nothing but sit I CAN'T! I have to get up from my desk and stretch and walk around every half hour....cracking me up!

    Not gotten word back yet. I think it was a tummy bug. Feeling better, and will go in to work tomorrow. But plan on a lazy Sunday today.

    We in the Pacific NW are enjoying weird spring like weather with warm days for us and lots of sunshine. I am hoping that you are keeping warm and safe with all the snow and cold weather that is happening east of the rockies

    emoticon I might get out my short ski's & "ice skate" around the neighborhood today! I have not run outside yet. I have a one story house & run inside. It does slow me down running around the corners & furniture!

    I am finishing up week 4 of the couch to 5K training.
