Starting Over
Hi! My name is Kathy and I've been on SP for a while now- since 2009. I was kind of sporadic with my tracking but watching the Biggest Loser and becoming a Zumba fan kept me going even though I wasn't losing weight. Then in Feb. 2012 something drastic happened. My alcoholic husband comitted suicide. Found out he spent a bunch of money and wasn't working before he died as well. I had to let all that sink in and figure out how to take care of the house, cars, bills and two kids on my own ...

My alcoholic husband comitted suicide. Found out he spent a bunch of money and wasn't working before he died as well. I had to let all that sink in and figure out how to take care of the house, cars, bills and two kids on my own literally overnight. I've lost 25 pounds and gotten way stronger and more independent than I have ever been. Please visit with me on my journey.

My Program:
Stay under 1650 calories and exercise 4 days a week with weight training 3 days a week. My base metabolic rate is around 1820.
Other Information:
I LOVE the Offspring and Green Day. You would never know that by looking at me though since I'm middle aged and overweight. Not the typical teen worshiper.
