Beth's Journey to a Healthier Me

After a looong terrible break from Sparkpeople, I resumed my journey to health on my birthday, June 10th, 2013. I didn't have a piece of cake that day..instead, I treated myself to joining Curves and gave myself the gift of determination, motivation and peace with myself to prepare for the long journey that lies ahead of me :) As of 8-9-13, I am down 21.5 lbs and starting to shed inches. I am eating healthy and enjoying working out. I am learning to love myself the way I am now, and celebrating ...

My Goals:
Summary: Final Goal of 135 lbs, with healthy habits to last a lifetime :)

Current Goals:
-170 By Halloween, and to notice inches dropping off!
-Work up to 45 minutes of kettlebell training instead of my current 35 minutes per workout.





My Program:
Eating healthy and working out 5-6 days per week:
3 days of (working hardcore)Curves 35-45 minutes, alternating 3 days of Kettlebells+cross training for 35 minutes. I also take walks when I get a chance, usually 2 miles of speedwalking on a route with a steady incline.

Personal Information:
Happily married to Steven, proud mom of Evan,4, and Gavin, 1 yr!! I LOVE music, kids, being outdoors, and I enjoy perfecting any type of art or creative project...I do space paintings, scrapbooking, make cakes, ect. for special occasions..anything I can get creative with!

Hey Beth!! How have you been? I see you have lost a bunch of weight in the last few months, WAY TO GO!! it's always so inspiration to see others succeed when they put their minds and hearts to it!

Yes, I am back to Sparkpeople :) I took some time off to go to school and am now a graduated Registered Holistic Nutritional Consultant! However...that being said, I am also still weighing in over 190lbs and need to get back to tracking and exercising. I have a Goodlife membership and need to make more of an effort to get to the gym, but right now I am focusing on food! I have to get my head in the right place and get on track, challenge myself and make this work for my health and for business reasons. If that makes any sense :P

Beth - I hope you're doing well and enjoyed your weekend. You are so sweet to ask about me. I'm slowly getting a little better every week, but this will be a long process (6 months to 1 year) for my internal incisions to heal. My body is still healing so it doesn't take much for me to get exhausted (since all my energy or most of it is going towards healing). Take care and thanks again!

Thanks for checking in on me it means alot :) I had a really bad week last week with my allergy. I couldnt really eat and I was too wiped out to workout. Im getting back on track this week though :) We just need to pick ourselves up..dust ourselves off and get back into the game!!! Im going camping this weekend to a camp site that everything is up hill or down hill! As long as I eat right the weight should melt off!

Thanks Bethy...I will let you know...what I am going to do about the computer. leav next week to see family. I think Thursday....or Friday. so I have lots to do to get ready....if you don't hear from me know that I ran out of time. Got to go to the grocery store tomorrow. And pay some bills

I have always wanted to do that ...kettle bells...played a bit with them at WalMart...thought it would be fun but things I read and people discouraged me....I need more info. buy the way I will be going to see Mom the middle of the month and I might leave it with your hubby then....he can work with it at his leasure. Unless there is a problem with having too many computers all over the house. I have popups all over my google crome...with surveys everytime I open a window...when you remove them then it freezes up. Anyway I don't know enough to fix my problem. I think I do need more memory.....me and my computer Hee Hee. Anyway get back to me. emoticon

Ps good luck on your exercising....when I get time I may have to come down and try your kettle bells.....hope they are not toooooo heavy I am out of shape. emoticon
