Greetings from England

I am 48yrs old and work for an NHS doctors practice as a nursing health care assistant. I have spent my whole life trying to control my weight and am now fed up with being a fatty! I love my husband, my kids, my grandsons and my two barmy dogs.

I have got two projects on the go. One is an anchor pattern of an owl in a winter landscape, all shades of brown/cream on 16 count aida!! I've been at the wretched thing for three years now! Then I'm also doing a cosmetics bag for the lady who looks after my cats when I'm away. That's in shades of yellow and cream, on the finest evenweave I've ever seen. Nothing simple of course. The same lady, when I was away in November, was feeding the cats at 6.30. They are put in the kitchen for the night, with their litter tray, tea and furry cushions. So now at 6.30 sharp, they are demanding cushions and dishes. So from 6.30 on I have no access to my kitchen, which is doing wonders for the diet!
