Running away from my unhealthy lifestyle

I run, therefore I am a runner. It's been my activity of choice since 2009 but didn't fully take hold of me until late 2010. Since then I've found joy in running in all seasons including the beauty of a run on a sunny 17 degree day. From there I've gained new appreciation for the outdoors and learned to listen to my body.

. I love to make stuff from scratch and put that extra effort into my meals. I will eat leftovers any day of the week over fast food.

I've done 6 half marathons, 3 trail runs and 3 road based. I've decided that 2016 will be the year I do my first full marathon.

I'm expecting my first child in April 2015! So for now my focus is shifting to maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle and not freaking out about my expanding body. Its also on nourishing myself with good home-cooked meals and trying to get into a workout routine of regular short runs (2-4 miles), yoga and walking.

PERKYLABGIRL816 Did some yoga today. Have yet to find the nerve to get outside in this frigid weather! Will probably hold off until warmer temps return this weekend

My Goals:
1) feel better about myself

2) improve my lifestyle.

3) include more yoga & strength training into my routine



My Program:
Fitness: I run. Need to work on some strength training and definitely need to stretch.


Diet: a work in progress, as usual. I have good days and bad.

Personal Information:
Pizza and sweets are my diet sabotage. I'm also a nibbler/grazer and those calories add up quickly and are hard to track because I sometimes forget what I've even had to eat.

Running is my happy place.

My HM training is going well, thank you for asking! I am staying consistent and really focusing on training v. losing weight. :)
