Lovely yellow life

I am trying to move myself, inch by inch towards my lovely yellow life.

What is my lovely yellow life?

It is a life where I maintain a steady 140lb weight, without binges or starvation or obsessive exercise. It is a life where I eat rainbow bright, fresh, fruit and vegetables every day. Where I drink water and feel alert. Where I enjoy dancing, swimming, running and jumping without the constant 'you didn't do enough' voice tormenting me.

I started my spark journey long ago at 162lbs. In my life time I have weighed an unhealthy 120ish lbs. I have yoyoed in between for years. While I don't have an eating disorder, I would certainly say that eating distress has been a part of my life for a long time. Food can control me. It can control my mood, my happiness and my motivation to get on and live.

But only if I let it.

I am working to get to a happy place with food, and ultimately with myself.

My Goals:
The main goal....

Make it back down to 140 and maintain for a year.

All the others.....

Enjoy food
Learn to cook for my allergies
Kick sugar to the kerb
Make water a daily habit
Be nice to myself about exercise
Praise myself for progress

My Program:
Nutrition is the main area I want to focus on with a very simple program - make each day better than the last one.

I am also currently doing a 90 day fitness where the goal is 150 miles and 50 hours of ST/CT in 90 days.

This works out about 12 miles + 4 hours ST a week! I can beat myself up about exercise so I try to keep my weekly schedule fun and a mix of running, swimming and yoga.

Personal Information:
I love.....

My pets
A post workout glow
Anything creative

I don't love....

Endless laundry
Numbers/finance
Milk,wheat,dairy and egg -allergic.

"Though no one else can guarantee your success, you can guarantee it by making the commitment to do whatever you must do.
You can guarantee it with your intention, your focus, your action and your persistence.
Today, tomorrow, in any place, whatever the situation, you can make a difference, for your own life, and for your world.
Grab that opportunity, make the most of it every chance you get, and you'll guarantee your own success."
-- Ralph Marston

"Even if the challenges are immense and the obstacles are many, step forward and live the life you choose to live. Your dreams are worth every effort.
Even if you get knocked down again and again, get right back up and get going. With enough persistence, any goal is within your reach.
Even if you can’t see all the way to the end of the road, go ahead and take the first step. Each time you make some progress, you’ll find new ways to make even more.
Even if your results fall short of your expectations, keep making the effort. Each new day brings you more experience, wisdom and effectiveness.
Even if you’ve been deeply disappointed in the past, focus on the positive possibilities. For your future is what you choose to make it now."

Yea, let there be daily renovation."

Happy weekend, Sparkfriend! I hope your day is going great and that you had a successful week. If you have a bad day (or bad week), don't you even think of giving up! Hang in there, and remember to give yourself a brand new start as often as needed. I believe in you!
Hugs,
Pixie

"Speak quietly to yourself & promise there will be better days.
Whisper gently to yourself and provide assurance that you really are extending your best effort.
Console your bruised and tender spirit with reminders of many other successes.
Offer comfort in practical and tangible ways - as if you were encouraging your dearest friend.
Recognize that on certain days the greatest grace is that the day is over and you get to close your eyes.
Tomorrow comes more brightly...”
