Jan. 2014 - I am getting ready to begin the Winter 5% Challenge. During the interim between challenges I had thyroid surgery (total thyroidectomy) and discovered it was thyroid cancer. Thankfully he got it all during the surgery. I am still recovering from this, so I will be setting manageable goals.

Exercise commitment - I will start with ten minutes a day and hopefully work up from there.

Oct. 2013 - I am really enjoying Spark People. I have learned to set goals, have consistency and be part of a wonderful community. I am getting ready to start the Fall 5% Challenge and am looking forward to it.

June - 2013 I joined a while back but never really got started with the program. This time I am ready to do this. I owe it to myself to lose this weight and try to be as healthy as I can for me and for my family. Looking forward to going through this journey.

Hi,
Thank you for leaving a comment on my page. I added you as a friend, hope you don't mind.
I am really enjoying the 100 Days group. The day we had to list foods that run through our head often was sort of hard for me. Even though I knew it was an exercise, I just couldn't get cheesecake outta my mind. So I did make one and only had 2 small pieces. Now that thought isn't bothering me at all.

I didn't see you post on Day 4 and 5. I hope you are going to stay with us. I have enjoyed your updates.

PS; my sister had thryoid cancer and had her thyroid removed. She is still going strong.
