Jan. 2014 - I am getting ready to begin the Winter 5% Challenge. During the interim between challenges I had thyroid surgery (total thyroidectomy) and discovered it was thyroid cancer. Thankfully he got it all during the surgery. I am still recovering from this, so I will be setting manageable goals.

Exercise commitment - I will start with ten minutes a day and hopefully work up from there.

Oct. 2013 - I am really enjoying Spark People. I have learned to set goals, have consistency and be part of a wonderful community. I am getting ready to start the Fall 5% Challenge and am looking forward to it.

June - 2013 I joined a while back but never really got started with the program. This time I am ready to do this. I owe it to myself to lose this weight and try to be as healthy as I can for me and for my family. Looking forward to going through this journey.

Today was not a good day went way over 3200 maybe tomorrow will be bette

I did not do to bad today. It was my 20th wedding anniversary and I stayed at the low end of my calorie range(1297) plus I did around 2 hours of walking not bad.(519 calories burned) My blood sugar was perfect this morning and I will do my again tonight.

First day back and I am already loosing the battle. I went way over on my calories today, My range is 1290 to 1640 and my calorie intake was 1810. I can't do any really excising until next week do to living arrangements but I hope to get back soon.

I want to thank you for keeping my accountable. I think that is all I really need is someone that I have to check in with every day. I can do all that tracking but when it is just on the computer and no one I really have to check in with then that is when I think I don't really make a difference to myself or anyone else. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.
