For I have come to have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you ~ Philemon 1:7.
I rejoice over you. As I prepare to close out my account with Spark People on the 12th, I want you to know that God has used you to refresh my heart and I have found much joy and comfort in your loving ways and caring presence. You will be in my heart and in my prayers as I take up my cross daily to follow Jesus. Keep up the good work, beloved. God bless you on your way.
Start now. Stay focused. FINISH STRONG! That is my goal for this month and all to come. I find that I start the month strong, then I let life get in the way and lose momentum and commitment toward the last half. That habit has lost more than one race. Starting now I am pacing myself, so as to not tax my bod and throw myself into this cycle again this month, saving some energy for that final thrust. If I fall, “NOW” is when I start back, for tomorrow may never come. I am maintaining focus, for as my friend and FlyLady say, “Focus makes us FABULOUS”. And I have my eye fixed on the target before me to make every step a strong one so I FINISH STRONG in February with an ultimate goal sighted for 2013.
“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win” ~ 1 Corinthians 9:24, NASB.
Our race on this journey is our own, and we are our only opponent. Bettering self is the race we run. I don’t know about you, but I find that it is more difficult to run against self than anyone else, for I am overly gracious and give excuse too easily for my falls. So, NOW, “I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified” ~ vs. 26-27. Making myself accountable with hope of encouraging others of you who struggle as I do, this is my prayer for us as we run our race this month.
“Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert ~ Isaiah 43:19, NASB.
I am looking to the New Year with Hope of New Things to come. It is exciting to anticipate New Things. I pray you enter the New Year with earnest expectation and hope of seeing God make a roadway in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Nothing shall be impossible with God.
Praying you have a very Merry Christmas! Or Happy Holidays for those who do not celebrate Christmas.
The awesome thing about belief in Christ is the hope He brings as obstacles bigger than we are threaten life as we know it.
~ For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace ~ Isaiah 9:6.
With uncertainty looming before us in the coming year, as in all years, seek the heart of the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
Wonderful Counselor directs our hearts to Truth and the Righteous Path before us. Mighty God fights on our behalf as our Champion King. Eternal Father meets us at our every need as a beloved Child of His most loving heart, and He disciplines and trains us up as Sons and Daughters, proving us to belong to Him. The Prince of Peace steadies us and assures our hearts even in the most troubled valleys, helping us know that He is here with us still, watching over to protect us, caring for our every need.

Rest in Him as we go through this Christmas / Holiday season and enter new days of uncertainty in the New Year to come.

“I will stand on my guard post and station myself on the rampart; and I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me, and how I may reply when I am reproved.” – Habakkuk 2:1
I am thinking of and praying for you today, my friend. God knows the way in which you should go in your journey. Keep watching and listening for Him who faithfully proclaims in our ear, “This is the way, walk in it” (Isaiah 30:21).
