I have had 50 pounds to lose since I was pregnant-- Twenty years ago!

I tried to lost the weight. At one point I went on a fitness craze and did lose all of it, but then I was very ill for about a year and gained it all back. In the last five years I have not tried to diet. I decided it was better to be overweight than to yo-yo, and that I would commit when the time was right. In the meantime I exercised, usually in the form of riding my horse three times a week and walking,

I have auto-immune issues and neurological issues for which I take many pills every day. Each one has weight gain as a side-effect...but I know that if I apply the laws of physics, if I burn more calories than I take in (in a healthy manner), then I will lose weight. I have done it before, I can do it again.

I don't want to jinx myself, but I feel that the time has arrived.

Where I live the clothes go up to European size 42, which is what I wear at my goal weight-- for 20 years I have been "getting by" on cheap clothes, thinking it was only temporary. My goal is to be able to go into any shop and try on clothes. Period. Doing it the right way, I should also be in great physical shape, too. :)

I am 49. I've been married 25 years and have a 20 year old daughter. I am a sedentary type. I am at my desk all day, and in my spare time I am writing on my laptop.
