5% Spring Challenge

I have been trying to do this on my own and haven't done so well. I am trying a 5% again and I hope I have learned enough to be able to do better this time.

July 2013
Time for a change. I have been doing the same thing for some time now without success. It is time to find a way to make some more changes. Right now a lot of possibilities are running through my mind. I need to get my thoughts together and make a real plan now that I have retired. My failure to plan differently with my retirement has been a plan for failure.

Beginning 5% Challenge very soon. This is my last year to teach. I will retire at the end of the school year. This will bring about a lot of changes. I hope the biggest change will be weight loss and healthier living.

My Goals:
1. Walk 2 miles a day 4 or 5 times a week.
2. Add more veggies and fruits to meals, start with a salad.
3. Lose 1 or 2 lbs a week.













My Program:
1.Exercise at lease 30 min. 5 days a week. This will include WATP & Fit, Firm & Fired up DVDs.
2. Eat more veggies and fruits, using Hungry Girl recipes and Spark recipes.

I am a retired school teacher. I have traveled some since retiring. I also started knitting and crochet. My projects are either for the church prayer shawl ministery, or my grandchilren.

DH and I have 3 beautiful daughter, all married now, and 7 wonderful grandchildren. We hope to see more of them in retirement.

Other Information:
I really need someone to help me be accountable to track my food. I need to work harder to find the time to get this done.
