My Time is NOW!!!
My name is Peg. I'm a 30 something single mom to 3 very special little boys. All my life I have struggled with my weight. After having my 2nd son I started birth control shots. That is when my already large body started ballooning. My name is Peg. I'm a 30 something single mom to 3 very special little boys. All my life I have struggled with my weight. After having my 2nd son I started birth control shots. That is when my already large body started ballooning. From there I had another very unexpected pregnancy, 3 sons with developmental delays and 2 diagnosed with autism, a failed marriage which eventually ended in his death from pancreatic cancer, bouts of depression and anxiety throughout. Sometimes I turn to food in times of stress for comfort. There are times I handle the downs of life by eating very little, to nothing for days. The weight just piled on, and here I am. I cannot stand looking at myself. Keeping up with my sons, forget about it. I have no energy. Once I broke 2 dining room chairs just by sitting on them, I knew something had to be done, for my health first and foremost and my sons. They need their mom here, healthy and alive. I do not want my life to end like my kids dad's did and will do what I can to prevent that. While I have been blessed with relatively good health for now I know the path I was on was leading to not good things. Now that they are all in school and preschool, and my life has settled I finally have the time and ability to address this. The time to reclaim my life has come. The time for me to start, maintain healthy habits and model them to my sons has come.

My Goals:
Eating healthier, controlling portions Get into a regular exercise routine, starting with walking and light weight work and working up from there Drink more water Give up the soda (2 days so far with none and going strong!!!) Try a different variety of foods, vegetables in particular Short term goal of 50 lbs lost in 1 year. Ultimate weigh lose goal of 130 lbs , which would bring me to 150 lbs.
My Program:
Quit drinking soft drinks cut the sugary fatty snacks Make better food choices Increase water consumption Plan my meals, be open to try different things. Measuring my food and limiting portions 30 minute walk at least 4 days a week Walk away the pounds DVD twice a week Weights and kettlebell 2-3 times a week.
