I've been down the road of "healthy living" before, but took a few wrong turns. It's time to get back on track again. I've been a member of Weight Watchers and I know that works, but haven't been to meetings in a few months and have had some other issues (that I won't mention right now) which have resulted in way to many pounds packed on to an already overweight person. It is time to get serious!!
Update - 2014, now a member of TOPS for two years and doing better with my weight. Also doing better with exercise, go 5 to 6 days a week. Still have problems with snacking and emotional eating but working hard to get it under control.

My Goals:
My goal is to get control of my emotional eating and to make activity (exercise is a four letter word to me) a regular part of my life.

My Program:
I am a member of Weight Watchers and will be doing the Walk-it 5K in May. I have started attending a workshop on Emotional Eating. As of Aug. 2012 have been a member of TOPS and I now belong to Planet Fitness.

Personal Information:
I have been a stay at home mom for the past 12 years. My life gets hectic with the family, kids activities and volunteering at school. Turning 50 years old last year bothered me more than I ever thought it would - but I guess it is time to get over it and just live my life to the fullest (no pun intended). Update, survived turning 50 and the kids have gotten older so I don't need to help at school.

Other Information:
When I find myself with extra time I do like to read, garden, bird watch, crafts, puzzles, and sew.

    I hear - staying motivated and eating healthy does get way more challenging when you have the kids to take care of. I spend a lot of my time taking my sister (who doesn't drive) around. I take her to work and back 6 times a week, nail appointments, doctor appointments, shopping and Weight Watchers - whew. I seldom plan any meals. I try to eat lots of fruits and veggies (they don't cost you a lot of calories) and protein to keep me going. I'll buy those packs of turkey or ham and roll them up in a baggies and just pull them out when it's time to eat. You can always add lettuce, tomato, onion and a slice of bread. Hope this give you new ideas that will help you keep on tract. BTW - CONGRATS on losing weight the last 2 weeks!

    Hi: Just read your "introduction" on the TOPS SPARK page. I too following the Weight Watchers way of eating even though I don't go to the meetings. I think they are too pricey and I don't even find them helpful. I'm also an emotional eater and working hard to make some kind of progress.
    Mainly writing to say Hi and see how things are going for you.
