LARRY'S GREAT GOALS

My weight traditionally sways by as much as 20 - 30 pounds year in and year out. My goal is to change my lifestyle in a manner that my weight does not fluctuate more than 5 pounds after I reach my target, which is 160.

My Goals:
My grandfather rode a bicycle until he was 95. I want to live the healthy lifestyle he did - he told me that in his last 70 years, his weight never varied more than 5 pounds. I range 20+ pounds in a year's time up and down..up and down. I want to find a lifestyle that stabilizes those weight changes

My Program:
I love to run and do so 3-4 times a week. I also like to incorporate some strength training and bicycling. I love to scuba dive and being in reasonable shape means wearing less weight to "go down under" and less air consumption which means longer dives.

Personal Information:
I live in Iowa so in the winter and on windy days, I use my treadmill. I love to spend time in Mexico diving and being in the local culture.

I'm pretty new at this myself, but wanted to let you know that it's o.k. to just jump right in and play, i.e. "click. click. click". It's how I have been learning my way around. So far I have encountered only splendid, encouraging and helpful people. Stop by and say hello. I hope you try isometric exercise, it's perfect for adults with mobility issues, chronic pain, have been sedentary for a while, or who tire easily. Yet even if you're at the top of your game, isometrics can give you the added edge towards meeting your goals, even if that is finishing a triathlon! emoticon
