What Lead Me Here?

After a childhood of bad habits and depression, I got my weight up to an unfortunate 265 pounds in 7th grade. (No, I'm not kidding.) The day I saw a full-body picture of myself in the yearbook a few years later was the day I knew I was DONE. I was DONE with being made fun of incessantly. I was DONE with feeling inadequate. I WAS DONE BEING THE FAT GIRL.

It's been quite a journey since then -- I lost 80 pounds in high school, but gained about 50 back through the tough times in college. Now, I am committed to being as healthy as can be -- in mind, body & spirit. It was only recently I realized that weight loss was only a side effect of me taking care of my whole self.

My Goals:
**To become physically, mentally & emotionally healthy.
**To stop worrying about the way I look and instead focus on the positive things about me and my life!
**To develop healthy lifestyle habits that will stick with me forever.
**To have the rockin' bod I've always dreamt of!!

My Program:
**30 minute walk/bike/jog/dance 5 days/week
**Reach cardio level 4 days/week
**30 minutes of strength training 3 times/week (arms/back, legs/glutes, abs)
**Eating between 1250 & 1600 calories - depending upon my activity level that day.
**Eating salad every day, along with other clean foods
**Drinking 10 cups of water per day
**Exercising at least twice per day.
**Stretching after every workout
**Staying motivated through reading Oxygen, logging onto SP

Personal Information:
I'm originally from CT, an hour outside NYC. I moved to CO in 2009, totally on a whim. And now I'm in warm & welcoming Austin, TX! But I consider myself a citizen of the world :)

It's been a long journey for me to be in the best shape of my life, but I will keep going until my goals are met!
