Healthy kids need a healthy mom

After my first son was born I was finally motivated to take off the weight I had carried since childhood. I floundered until I found SP by accident while doing a last ditch google search for a free diet plan before giving it up as impossible. When I found SP I was so excited I called my husband at work and the very next morning I was committed to SP and on my way to a 60lbs loss. It was wonderful. After my first son was born I was finally motivated to take off the weight I had carried since childhood. I floundered until I found SP by accident while doing a last ditch google search for a free diet plan before giving it up as impossible. When I found SP I was so excited I called my husband at work and the very next morning I was committed to SP and on my way to a 60lbs loss. It was wonderful. I was a better mom who could keep up with my very energetic 18 month old son, I had lots of cute clothes, and I felt great.

And then there was a second pregnancy, and a second beautiful baby boy, and there I was, despite keeping an extremely healthy diet throughout my pregnancy, with 50lbs put back on. I was not as unhealthy though, as I was still much fitter. But after my second son I was working and finding the time to exercise was difficult, and so I only took off a little of the weight.

And then there was a third pregnancy and my precious baby girl was born, and I'm set back to where I was after my second pregnancy, with 40 to 50 lbs to loose to get back into my healthy range, and a little bit more to be at my dream weight. This time around though I find myself unemployed and home with the kids for the time being. So I have seized this time as an opportunity to take some time for myself and make exercise and food tracking a priority. And on the days when I feel guilty taking time for myself when there is work to be done in the house or a child demanding a cup of milk, I try to remind myself that I am setting a good example, that I am teaching my children what it means to be healthy, and maybe by taking this time for myself I am really giving them a gift.

My Goals:
1)To lose the weight I gained with my second and third pregnancies.

2) To get back into my pretty pre-pregnancy clothes!

3) Continue to live an active life for the benefit of myself and my husband, my two beautiful sons and precious daughter.

4) Exercise and strength train consistently.

My Program:
1) Cardio at least 6 days a week

3) Strength Training 3 times a week

4) Spend time outdoors with my family on the weekend

Personal Information:
Being a mom to my three beautiful children is the most important thing in my world and the biggest motivation to be as healthy as I can. I married my lovely husband in 2004 and he helps make healthy eating a priority for all members of our family.

Other Information:
I love to be with my family. We all love hiking together.
