Life: It's all about love! Do everything with LOVE.

"Your life is a sacred journey. And it is about change, growth, discovery, movement, transformation, continuously expanding your vision of what is possible, stretching your soul, learning to see clearly and deeply, listening to your intuition, taking courageous risks, embracing challenges at every step along the way...
And from here, you can only go forward, shaping your life story into a magnificent tale of triumph, of healing, of courage, beauty, wisdom, power, dignity and love."
Caroline Joy Adams

That quote and the next one are posted front and center at my home desk between the wall phone and the calendar.

"But if you would truly make a difference in the world, meditate not on your weaknesses but on your strengths, find your talent, your passion, your destiny; follow that path where it leads...Don't worry so much about what you can't do; just do what you can as only you can."

My passion right now is to work for peace with the goal of ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, to work to feed the hungry through Bread for the World and Heifer International and to follow the directive "Live simply, so that others can simply live."

"Imagine all the people living life in peace. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will live as one."
John Lennon

"We travel together, passengers on a little space ship, dependent on its vulnerable reserves of air and soil; all committed for our safety to its security and peace; preserved from annihilation only by the care, the work, and, I will say, the love we give our fragile craft."
Adlai Stevenson

"I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality."
Martin Luther King Jr.

The time is now to work for peace in the world. The time is now to feed the hungry, care for the sick, comfort the sorrowing, talk to the lonely, and play with the children. If there is any good that I can do, let me do it now. God is love. Share the love.

Love is patient; love is kind. Love is not jealous; is not proud; is not conceited; does not act foolishly; is not selfish; is not easily provoked to anger; keeps no record of wrongs; takes no pleasure in unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth; love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
1 Corinthians 13:4

Hi there! Thank you for the walking shoes goodie you sent me when I left for Georgia. I made good use of my walking shoes while I was there. I got up early every morning for a nice walk around my friends' town. I was a lovely trip, but I'm glad to be home again!

Hi! I would definitely recommend the movie "Fed Up." Even though I gave up soda and even fruit juices decades ago, I've been eating much more healthy (e.g., more fresh fruits and veggies) since I started Spark People. However, seeing this movie has me rethinking some of my food choices again. I don't think I will be able to completely embrace the slow foods movement at this point in my life (don't have time to do things like bake my own bread), but can certainly cut back even more on the number of times I eat processed food on a weekly basis. And I can also take even a closer look at the processed foods I am eating, and choose those with more balanced ingredients (e.g., higher fiber, lower sugar content, organic ingredients, etc.). Really, it's disturbing to the degree that corporate America controls our lives and our political world. Maybe if more of us wake up to the realities of this (as I know you have), and start voting with our wallets and our feet, we can eventually start turning this around. Certainly the war against big tobacco has scored real successes. Maybe we can do the same for the AgriBusiness realm!

Gee, can you tell that the movie got me all fired up?

    Hello from Payson, AZ!

    Rest in Natural Great Peace.

    This exhausted mind,
    beaten helplessly by
    karma and neurotic thought,
    like the relentless fury
    of the pounding waves
In the infinite ocean of samsara.

    Rest in Natural Great Peace.
