I have a love for reading, watching movies, watching hockey, caring for exotic animals, and art.
My eating habits have always been terrible. I'm a picky eater who doesn't like to try new things. I was raised eating pretty much every meal out at some restaurant so I had no clue how to cook. For years I lived on microwave meals, fast food, and pizza.
When I was in high school, I was involved in team sports. Since leaving HS and the team sports, I continued to put on the pounds and neglected regular physical exercise.
About five years ago, I had some health problems which led me to see a doctor who gave me a complete physical. The report wasn't very good; high cholestrol, borderline diabetic, etc. It scared me enough to start trying some different eating habits and I joined Curves. I lost about 20 pounds right away and was feeling so much better. But, then somewhere along the way my trips to Curves became less frequent and I fell right back into my old eating habits. So I've put back on the 20 pounds plus some to reach my highest weight ever.
Once I found SparkPeople.com I started setting healthy goals for myself. I'm looking for something that will work for me and help me make some permanent changes in my life.

Doing circuit training several times a week. I''m learning how to cook so I can prepare my own meals instead of turning to restaurants. I''m tracking my diet and goals.
