Peabody's Journey to Health

I began this journey at 260 pounds. I lost a bunch of weight in 2006 on a liquid diet and thought I would be able to change my eating habits and keep it off...nope!! I have gained all of it back and I am going to change my ticker to reflect my goal since gaining it back.

I am beginning today to work towards a slow and steady race for health...AGAIN!!

I have changed diets several times in the last year.

I am going to eat less and move more!!!

Personal Information:
I am in my early 40's and live about 30 miles from the Gulf of Mexico in Mississippi. My husband and I have been married for 13 years and we enjoy playing golf and traveling. We have one large dog, two cats, and no kids. I am a biologist with a desk job most of the year...which has contributed greatly to my yo-yo weight progress over the years!!!

Other Information:
I commute to work on a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic motorcycle (weather permitting).

I am going to begin working towards getting myself HEALTHY and happy with "me".

I like that attitude! If you are still interested in triathlons, I'd recommend "The slow fat triathlete" - she has a can do attitude and doesn't wait until she's lost weight - she just keeps on going.

I love that book!
