Making Healthy Transitions

I've lost 30 pounds in the last 6 months, and nearly 50 since I started SparkPeople. Now with the prospect of transitioning to a vegetarian lifestyle, for my health and the health of the environment (I'm all for family farms, being from South Dakota, but Factory Farms are bad for the animals, bad for the environment, and if you look at records of recalls and what actually goes into "ground" meat, bad for us), I'm hoping to keep up the positive progress, as I prepare for getting married sometime ...

My Goals:
My goal is to loose about 2 pounds a week, but anything is better than nothing.
My 10% First Step goal is 28 pounds- we'll see how long it takes!

My Program:
My Diet Personality Type is Portion Distortioner, so my first steps are slowing down my eating, recognizing portion sizes, trying not to clean my plate, and not eating out as often (or getting kids meals if I do).

Personal Information:
Hobbies: reading, writing, watching movies, sodoku, traveling, landscape photography, interior decorating (and watching HGTV)


Other Information:
I stress-eat, which is bad since I have a stressful job, but having my super-supportive boyfriend, who helps keep me in line with my goals but doesn't lecture me when I slip, really helps.

I Like your idea of getting together a getting fit to survive team, though I just noticed it's an old post from a while ago :) I'm glad to be at the Survival team and will try to get more active there.
