Taming My Dragon

I am 59 and have been carrying an extra 10 to 20 pounds for most of my life. In high school my weight was perfect but I thought I was fat. Any time I have been at a good weight I never enjoyed it. I always thought I needed to lose more. I just started SparkPeople 3 years ago lost 8 # but quit. Of course I gained the 8 # back. Now I am back on the pony, I am happy and it feels great. I am a evening & night eater and this article gave me power. I have been having the best time with the exercise videos.

My Goals:

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I do much better when I pre plan my meals and snacks and eat by the clock. I still have days where I am always looking to eat but structure and distraction seem to help that.

I eat far too quickly sometimes...most of the time, but when I do slow down and really see taste smell the food I'm eating and fully appreciate it I know I enjoy it more and eat less. One of my hardest habits to change however.

Thank you! I know that by nature more women are verbal while more men are...what's the word? taciturn? reticent? non-verbal! I guess we are attracted to that polar opposite but it can be troublesome once in a while, especially when I forget and take it personally. At least I know we're in good company!
