Hi I'm Pat. I live in the Washington DC suburbs. I am 63 years, and have been dealing with several autoimmune illnesses including Lyme disease and fibromyalgia. I am currently struggling with microscopic colitis. My dietitian is working with me to heal my gut, and have been eating gluten free for a few weeks. I have gained a lot more energy and my fatigue has improved. However a test that I must have to test for celiac or gluten sensitivity requires me to add gluten back until the end of August. I have already noticed that I am fatigued. Once I have the endoscopy and biopsy, I will go back to being gluten free regardless of the results as I feel so much better without it in my diet. Looking forward to connecting with others that are eating gluten free and paleo.

Hoping to lose all this exces baggage that has crept on in past few years!

Personal Information:
I am married to my husband for 32 years. Have a grown son and his wife who are newlyweds. No grandkids yet! I am retired for past six years. I love reading, needlework, camping and working in my little garden. Also love to bake and am learning to bake some gluten free recipes. My Younger sister Linda pictured with me above is my inspiration and coach. She brings me up when I'm down and has taught me a lot about eating gluten free and also a healthier diet without processed foods. She suffers from many autoimmune disorders, and brain tumor. I'm doing this for her as she is my rock in this crazy world and keeps me anchored.
