Hi, :) I'm a 48 year old mother of six. Yep, you read right... 6! :-) Only two that haven't flown the coop. I'm caretaker of my Mom who has Alzheimer's disease. I've been diagnosed with multiple auto immune disorders and I'm not letting it get me down. In an odd way it has helped. (In a very odd way.)

The only way I get through each day is with God's blessings.

I felt the need to find my new self and keep this disease from taking my muscle and fight for it.

I've always been a very public and outgoing person and that had changed. So? It's all about fitness for me, good place as any to start. I'm thinking makeover? lol Of course I mean of the muscular kind... I'm going to concentrate on exercising through the pain to stay strong enough to live another day.

Update: SO I took up hiking! Ohhhhh I LOVE it!! It helped me to lose 50 lbs and has given me more self confidence than I have ever had. I did and still do hike through the pain.. when the sun hits my face it's like God is giving me a big old hug! I started with just a mile a few times a week. I am now, 2 years later, up to 4+ miles a day. If you'd like to talk about it please contact me. If you're in my area, I'd love to introduce you to my saving grace. :-)















The Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity

Fitness Minutes: 15,803

My Goals:
To lose 10 pounds. Feel better, look healthier and not so tired.

To exercise and to stick with it!


My Program:
I refuse to diet... (or at least to call it that). It seems so terribly like a 4 letter word!! :)

My goal has been to make better choices, a cup of tea at night instead of a snack. Making sure I get more fruit and veggies in my diet and adding water and lots of it.

Exercise! Move my booty 6 days a week. At least 3 of strengthening.

Spark... Everyday!

The meal tracker is my motivation, it truly helps!




Personal Information:
My full time job is being a Mom, to my kids and my Mom, it takes all of my time.

I love to help people and I volunteer as often as I can.

I don't have very many pics of myself... I tend to be the one taking the pictures and enjoy playing with them after, taking something simple from the back of a picture and making it art.

^^^^^ That's a riot! And obviously before selfies!! I now have photos of myself and everyone I know. I'll post some current pics. xoxo


Other Information:
Favorite author for kicks and giggles is Janet Evanovich. She's like a mini vacation, I find myself cracking up! I also admire the fact that she leaves the nitty gritty to your own imagination.

Fav. quote as of lately is: If God brings me to it? He''ll bring me through it!!

    Where have I been?
    I hope your still doing well.I've gotten sicker.
    I can't do too much.Trouble breathing,and sore hips.
    I couldn't get in on the lawsuit about the hips though.
    Well,I still ride the bike,clean the house,so I'm STILL in a holding pattern,but at least I not gaining and gaining.Just gaining a little,losing a little,etc.

    I am soo glad to see you are still out there ...I thought I had maybe lost you in all the mess of things emoticon
    This is first thing in the AM and so there are things that I need to take care of but I will try getting that mail out to you during the day (sparkmail)
    There is a lot that I would like to share with you being as I am sure that you will understand.....actually it's kind of funny...I was just trying to tell DH how frustrated I have been over the last few days and I got that kind of glazed over look from him and the old 'that's to bad' comment emoticon
    I get it that it is hard to relate to this mess until you are living it, I was not able to understand my own DD situation until I was actually having to live it myself, but boy can it be frustrating trying to get someone to understand emoticon
    ..and yes, getting the dx..DD way of saying diagnosis in short hand lol...but more on that later

    My friend I am so sorry that I have been away so very long. I have had many changes in the last few months ..some good and some not so good..but getting more manageable. Now that things are taming down a bit I would love to send a catch up mail if you are still active here could you give me a quick shout out on my page or something so that I will know that your are still out there?
    My RAD has been confirmed and I could still really use a friend that understands.
    I am hoping all is going well with you and the family..wouldn't mind a bit of an update on all that also.
