Thanks to the 2014 Summer 5% Challenge, I lost 5.4 pounds! I was unable to get the motivation (a big push) necessary to embrace and enjoy a complete change in my lifestyle seriously, until I got into this challenge. My Goals:
To have fun, sharing and accomplishing goals in the life long journey towards our health, in our life style change.

My Program:
I aim to do 120 minutes of exercise or more per day. My rest day is Saturday, which I try to have it as an easy going but active day. As for the rest of the days, I do hiking as my main exercise. Three days a week I include 15 m ST and 15 m relaxing/stretching yoga. I complete the days with what I call moving around as much as I can.

As for my diet, nothing specific but to eat as healthy as possible within my calorie range to loose weight.

Personal Information:
I live in Grecia, Alajuela, Costa Rica. I'm a Costa Rican. I live in the mountains (at an altitude of 4757 ft). Married for a lot of years. 3 grown-up kids already gone. An adorable grandson, Jose Antonio, and a lovely granddaughter, Desiree, whom I take care of, weekdays. My elderly mom also lives with us. She has senile dementia. I'm a TEFL (teacher of English as a foreign language), but currently not working on that, but as a caregiver at home.

My interests:
Besides my family, I love walking/hiking, my garden, Internet forums, reading, watching movies, my pets, 2 dogs - 4 cats. Oh, and I'd love to travel overseas often, but can't afford it :-))

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and for your encouraging comments! It is not always easy, there are some foods that really do tempt and when I am really hungry, that is the toughest time but I do know that eating healthy will get me to where I want to be always! Thanks for your support and encouragement! I appreciate it!
