Hello from Costa Rica! I'm a Costa Rican, living in Costa Rica.

I'm a proud member of the Awesome A Team - 5% Challenges.

My weight loss story:

For about 3 years, I was unable to get the motivation and determination (the big push) necessary to embrace and enjoy a complete change in my lifestyle seriously, until I got into the 5% challenges. I was always procrastinating the big start.

Thanks to the 2014 Summer 5% Challenge, I lost 5.4 pounds. And to the 2014 Fall 5% Challenge, I lost 4.6 pounds more and reached my goal weight (a total of 10 lbs lost).

I am extremely happy I've found invaluable friends along this lifelong journey here at SP.

I don't know why my foot is hurting on the ball. No time this month to go to doctor to have it checked out. I may just need some better shoes. Have not stopped walking at least a mile a day. Have started the Mayo Clinic diet and like it so far. I can eat all the veg and fruit I want. The spring before hubby fall I was doing that and got down to 159, I am now 171.6. I am getting back on track. I do good when I have a diet I like. Am tracking my calories again.

I turned 60 and am falling apart!!!! I get over shingles and they tell me I have blood in my urine and my right fool is hurting so much that it is hard to walk. I did my 5 miles so far this week but don't know if I will be able to do my 15 miles. I am resting my foot today and if I am able will walk Tuesday to do the laundry.
Hubby is doing great with the living room rearranged to make more room for him to move around in. He spends most all of his day in the wheel chair. I did not get hurt from the fall.

I am eating right and the scale is going down again.
