On my way to feeling better!

I have spent the last several years trying to lose weight and get healthy and fit. It has been a rollercoaster ride, with many ups and downs. I'm so glad to have found new friends to help and share my journey!

Welcome to the Couch to 5k running group!!!! Stop by the message board and introduce yourself to the team. On the team page you will find a thread for each training week. Click on week one and post were you are at in your training. This is a great way to meet others who are in the same phase of training as you. Some of my best friends were in my training week one and we worked through the program together sharing victories, questions, comments, and ideas. I look forward to learning more about you. I will be popping in on the Weeks 1 - 3 training to help answer any questions that might pop up and to cheer you on to your goals! Be blessed! Be a runner!

Hi Patrice,

The Kayaking was awesome - and since you've been thinking about trying it, I highly recommend doing so! There are some VERY stable kayaks out there! I tried one that I'm pretty sure I could have dove off...and then climbed back on...without tipping it over!

Funny though, I didn't like that one. It was tougher to paddle than the "tippier" ones. And even the tippier ones didn't threaten to flip me over.

It's fun. If you're interested, you should SO give it a try!

Thank you Patrice! It was a challenge, but I pushed through! I went for a jog on Saturday a.m. and rolled my ankle. So no exercise for me for a few more days! My DH was with me, walking our dog, so it was good! :) Weigh in today for BLC, so I will post later if I had a true successful weekend or not! Have a great day, and stay cool!

Hey Patrice! Nice to hear from you. We had to postpone the party at the last minute as recitals, etc. popped up for our guests. My daughter also started a job and she had to work that day. We've rescheduled to the 10th. I would have gone to the rally, but my daughter needed to be picked up while I would've been at the rally. How was it? It sounded like everyone had a great time. Hopefully I'll be at the next one.

Ah, Zumba...I have a pretty hectic week this week. Trying to squeeze in doctor/dentist appts. for the kids and need to start dorm shopping with my son (ugh! can't believe he's off to college). Can I get back to you for hopefully next week? I still want to go and am excited to try it! I'm trying to fit in my Turbo Jam and pool cardio in between my appointments this week.
