Thank you so much for suggesting I drink water more regularly throughout the day. It's the one thing I've been slack on doing - it was all too easy to drink a minimum of 8 glasses each day while the weather was so hot, but within a week we've dropped to low autumn temperatures, strong winds and forecasts of heavy showers. That's when I find it really hard to keep up with those 8 glasses! Today I filled a 750ml. bottle with water, and have been taking it with me wherever I go (not dog walking - too hard to hold a water bottle, continually untangle two leashes, and clean up after the dogs when they stop for more than just a sniff at something. I woke feeling not much better than yesterday, but the more water I've been drinking, the better I'm feeling. From now on, I'm aiming to drink at least 3 of those 750ml. bottles of water each day.
I felt exactly as you did re the seated cardio workout, and I also followed it up with the core workout immediately after. I think I like them both because I can manage to keep up with what I'm meant to be doing, but at this stage I'm quite happy they aren't any longer, specially the cardio! My muscles remind me a few hours later that they've been used, but at least they aren't sore, just a little tight.
Thank you for the link, and for the hula hoopers team info. Can't get a hula hoop here in town, so I'll wait till I can buy myself one before joining. I want to go visit a decent sports store so I can talk with someone who knows what size and type (if they come in different types) would best suit my needs. By then I should have myself into more of a routine... I hope.
I just noticed your comment on my feed, andwondered how you enjoyed the seated cardio workout. I'm still amazed - and very thankful - that it's possible to get in some cardio work while sitting down. It really gave me a lift just to know I managed to do it.
