Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog "Don't feel like it? Do it anyway?" It's something I need reminding of quite often. Putting it out there in a blog helps sink it into my mind as well! Hope you are having a wonderful week.
Good luck with tackling one box at a time. I've tried that in the past, but with me it's either all or nothing, and after a few boxes I find myself making too many excuses for not continuing past the first few days. I'd rather a fulll on attack of the entire room, and then it's done. None of my friends tackle their rooms in the same way I do - they can't understand how I can keep up the enthusiasm to keep going till it's finished. I guess we're all wired differently :D
As for the tape measure, no, I haven't tried measuring myself - couldn't summon the courage to accept what I'd measure that first day of Sparking. Instead though, I have a once-too-tight pair of jeans I use to check my progress. Pre-Spark, I had to struggle to do them up, and bending over was almost impossible. I tried them on yesterday and not only are they loose now, but the waistband is still loose when I bend right over and touch my toes. Gotta love that feeling - much more sense of achievement than measuring myself, heheh.
Thank you so much for your wonderful comments in response to my blog. I struggle with walking alone, which is why, when my own two dogs have had enough walking for the day, I've started 'borrowing' the dogs belonging to two friends to keep me motivated. Maybe you know someone who isn't able to exercise their own dog, who would appreciate someone helping them out by taking it for some exercise?
That friend of mine whose house is for sale... today while we were out of town, she got a call from the realtor - the person who was interested in it has now sold his own house, so has raised his offer to meet her asking price. Two days of celebratory lunches in a week! For me though, mine involved chicken, or a very lean beef patty, and lots of salad. She is so relieved, and I'm so very happy for her. Now she can face the future without any financial concerns.
"If you have made mistakes...there is always another chance for you...you may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call "failure" is not the falling down, but the staying down." -- Mary Pickford
Thank you for your kind comment on my blog, "In Memory of My Dear Friend, Little_Queen." The Mary Pickford quote was one of her favorites. Have a blessed day.
