It has taken many years but I've learned that for changes to occur, I must be patient; time can be your friend. So, I am using SparkPeople as a monitoring tool of my eating habits and activity progress, as well as a motivational ignition. 1-Make wise food choice a norm not a rarity

-Increase water intake and decrease carbonated beverages
2-Incorporate portion contol of foods
3-Get my body in motion daily, at least 30 min
4-Don't beat myself up if it's an off day

I found a hula-hoop training dvd at CVS called "Hoopnotica."
The hoop is definitely easier to keep up. I haven't hooped in awhile. My hips and back were hurting from trying to hoop, dropping and picking it up. emoticon
