Hi PT, Thanks for the note. I did post an introduction to the teams "Introduce Yourself to Team Forum" a few days ago. I've been browsing through the forums, but haven't posted much yet. Thanks for the reminder! --Steve

Hi P Tiger, I see you joined SparkPeople in 2007 also a few months after me. Thank you for your 1/10/15 message to me on my introduction to "Emotional Eaters" . I felt so powerful when I said "no thank you" to my DH's offer of a piece of his huge Hershey bar while we are snowed-in here in Boston today during this blizzard of 2015. I re-read your message to give me strength to stand- up to him. He is a compulsive shopper. He got irritated when he asked me "What do you want to eat today?" and I answered him "I have my beans and salad. You can get something for yourself." He stormed out of the house saying "Okay forget-about-it! It would be nice to really have a wife like you used to be!" Meaning I would sit there and be nice and eat the huge amounts of heavy food he would prepare pretending to enjoy it just to make him happy passing our time together. You wrote "Saying no with clarity reinforces my ability to live in that clarity." This is my new mantra! emoticon

I have joined the 5% challenge while I was still active with the Lifers, 2 or 3 years ago. In our present 5% challenge, Barbara Jo and Paulene, both former Lifers, have joined my team. They both were members of other teams within the same challenge until now. Sherry also joined, but, until now, is with another team.

I did see the link to the new thread, after going back a second time.
I missed it the first time, because it was like an afterthought, at the bottom of your page and signature.
I am sure the Lifers appreciated your initiative.
Only Misty, Julie, Ann and Karon are listed as Team Leaders, so, they are the only ones who can make a new topic a 'sticky' one.
I hope this helps.
