My Dad hunted rabbits, but never brought any home. I think he like to watch the dogs chase them. He also hunted pheasants and we did eat those.

I live at the outskirts of a city and you cannot hunt within the city limits. I have seen more wildlife around here than I ever saw in my younger years when I lived on a wooded mountain. I am hoping that it was squirrels that blew the transformers. Sometimes I hear an explosion when there is a car wreck, better a squirrel than a human being killed, in my humble opinion.

I too am diabetic and I will tell you about what I am doing and leave the information with you to do with it as you want. There is a group on Facebook, called Reversing Diabetes, and if you join it, you will not be contacted in any way, but they have great information about the disease and a way of eating will be provided through a place they call The Tool Chest. I think there are a couple of Facebook groups with this name, Reversing Diabetes, you want the one where upon entering, there are three pictures. The middle picture is a woman holding an avocado in front of her eyes, that is the group I use. This has been the most helpful thing I have discovered since being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2006.

Please know that I am not trying to push you into anything. As a friend, I recommend this way of eating to all I know that are diabetics or have been told they are pre-diabetic. All the information at this site is free to help people get better.
