My lonesome little slice of heaven
This is a photo of my sister and me on the swing she got for me. I am in the brown.
This is my hubby with our toy. This is also at the resort, which we usually call, The Lake.
I am a widow, mother of 3 (2b,1g), step-mother to 3 (2g,1b). I have 4 granddaughters and a step-grandson in Pa. I have 4 grandsons here, along with 3 more step-grandchildren here 2g,1b. I also have one grandson who passed away at 3 months of age in Feb 1992. Losing a child or grandchild is the worst loss of all.
I love all of my kids and grandkids, but don't get to see them as often as I would like.
I joined TOPS MI 433 (Eaton Rapids) in 2008 around Sept. 23 and I have lost close to 30 lbs so far, I still have more lbs to go to reach my goal. I would accept some encouraging words and HELP as I have reached a plateau!!! Sidenote: Since I hurt myself on the Wii in 2010 I have gained back about 16 pounds of the 30 lbs. I had lost!
GREAT NEWS!!! All 3 babies have arrived! Ryder, (step-daughter's son) arrived Sept 5th, Olivia (son's daughter) arrived Nov. 15th, and Blaine (step-granddaughter's son) arrived Jan. 4th. All babies are the cutest in the world!!!!
My sister and I are starting a new TOPS chapter in Charlotte, Michigan on Jan. 23 at AL!VE. We are hoping for a good turnout.
My goals are to lose weight and strengthen my back muscles, and get healthy!
I have been very scarce here on SP. I have a lot of studying to do, so I put this part of my life off a lot. I have changed my program to the diabetic program, which I like. I can keep an eye on my glucose level. I will be glad when the diabetic menus will be available.
I live in South Central Michigan. I was born in Mt. Pleasant, home of CMU and Soaring Eagle Casino. I grew up between Potterville and Grand Ledge. This is funny, before we moved down to the Lansing area, when I was really little, we lived between Mt. Pleasant and Midland; and now I am in the process of moving to my son's house, which is between two other towns!!!!
I have enrolled at Liberty University Online to study Religion. I am very excited to be doing this, especially since I have put off going to college for 40 years. I am looking forward to holding that Associate's degree in my hand! UPDATE: I'm now thinking about going for the Bachelor's degree, that is, if I can pass the College Math that is required!
This College Algebra is killing me! I decided to go ahead and take the three classes I need to get it out of the way and I am going nuts with it! I've gained almost half of what I had lost because of the stress, I get upset and go get food (chocolate). Next fall is the last one of the three and I hope there is nothing else that is this bad!!!!!!!!
8/24/12: I have started the last Math class, along with a Bible class, which should be called an English class, it's tearing apart and identifying verse, paragraph and phrase structure right now. I hated doing that in junior high school and here I am doing it again! I
