Hello My Name is Patty. I am 44 years old married to a wonderful loving supportive husband Jimmy for 18 years. I have three wonderful gifts from God in the form of three sons ages 15,9 & 6. I began this goal to loose weight, leave it behind and find a new lifestyle on June 10, 2012. As the time passed I did well loosing nearly 50 pounds, but as things changed with the daily life the pounds slowly began to creep back on. I had a wake up call the other day when I was scrolling through some old pictures around the time my youngest graduated from preschool on how I had added on the weight again. I decided today it was time to do some thing about it so I got my plan together and officially will begin the program first thing in the morning. I told the family weight loss boot camp was back in session. All of the family agreed that we all have fell victim of the worldly ways of ease of the grab and go lifestyle which we were living two years ago. So WE could sit back and not do anything about it or WE could get up and do some thing about it. I am choosing to do something about it. I reminded my family I could not do it alone and both my husband and eldest son are rejoining me on this journey to a much, much healthier lifestyle. I first thought about taking this profile picture down, but as I sit here and stare at it I have decided to leave it as a motivator. That was me in December of 2012. I did it once I CAN do it again.

Current Weight as on June 22,2014 239.8, but don't fret it will not stay there long.




My Program:
I try to maintain a daily calorie intake of between 1200 -1550 calories per day.

My name is Patty. I have been a social worker since college graduation in 1994. I am currently employed at our hospital owned nursing home and rehab center. I love being a wife to my husband Jimmy and mother to my three son's Jay, Tanner and Will. I have three dogs named Joey, Ellie and Ava. I really don't have any hobbies due to the fact I don't have a lot of spare time with work and family.

Wow, You are doing great! 15 lbs in a month is great progress! I bet you see and feel the results already!

What is your plan consisted of? What I mean is, what kind of nutrition plan and exercise regimine are you following for your weight loss?

Right now, I mostly do caloie tracking/meausring, 1200-1450 calories, lots of water, and I need to start increasing my activity. I went and did an hour long strength training session Monday, but I also need to do more cardio.

You are so sweet top stop by my Page and leave me some encouraging words, I truly appreciate it!

I know having to restart this journey is tough- kind of like climbing a tough mountain, tumbling down and having to climb it again.... BUT I know if I did it once I can do it again!

I hit a snag for about 10 days there when I started on birth control pills, I was seeing a gain, instead of a loss. I made the decision to stop the pills and now I am seeing the weight come off again.

How has your restart been going? What kind of plan are you following? I am doing religious tracking/measuring and counting of my calories, and it's going well. I need to start adding more activity.

Hey there!
So sorry I have been away from spark. I had a difficult year but it has turned out for the best- I posted a blog about it yesterday..

I am happy to restart on this healthy lifestyle journey. I just restarted last Thursday.... Are you still Sparking?
