Hello. I have been a Spark member since January 2010 yet I have made NO progress in effectively changing my life. I work and make a few pounds of progress them I fall down and the pounds all return. So I'm here, to declare before my peers, that I am going to keep trying. I cannot give up! I must win this battle for health and emotional well-being.

My Goals:
My 2013 Goal is for a healthy New Me!

1. I want to be active in my Spark Teams.

2. Lose 10% of my current body weight. 217-21.7=195.3. Plan--5 pounds of weight loss per month for 6 months, then evaluate the progress/

3. I really hate logging stuff--what can I do?
I will log fitness minutes and try to get moving!

My Program:
I am still working on making positive changes in my life. I will work to:
1. Keep my calories in my range--preferably at the lower end of the range.
2. Be more committed to exercise. I will strive for walking every day--out side or the treadmill.
3. Add in strength training or core exercises 2 times a week.
4. Daily devotion time with the Lord, 10-15 minutes.
5. Improve the appearance of my house both inside and outside.
NEW: January goal is to clean my laundry room.

Personal Information:
My name is Chris Parker. I have lived in central Iowa my whole life, currently 53 years.
I am a nurse at Blank Children's Hospital and I believe I have the best job in the world.
I am married with 3 grown children, and 2 cats.
I am to be a grandma in September or so!!

Other Information:
I love music and sing in several groups. I am active in my church. I enjoy piecing quilts and cross stitching. I love to eat out. I love movies--especially ones with happy endings. My very favorite movie is Steel Magnolias.
I love reading fiction and nonfiction books. I really enjoy self improvement/motiva-tional books.
I love to laugh.

    Thanks so much for my seedling- I loved it and I loved your note- I will work on nourishing it... Encouragement is so wonderful to recieve.

    Thanks also for stopping by my blog- I love that you started running on the treadmill- that's great- I think we are at the same place 60 min running and doing intervals just like me... let's keep on going together and see where we end up

    Thank-you for your supportive comments on my blog. I had been stalled at the same weight for months, but seem to have found my groove again! I am now in the process of "releasing" the weight I re-gained over the last 18 months or so.

    Thanks for your kind comment on my blog! I am doing my best. You should think about starting your 5K practice again. Running a 5K even if you just walk it is exhilarating. Good Luck!
