Do it for ME
I feel this journey I'm on will always mean I have to work on eating right, exercising and developing healthy habits. I am just now realizing it's not something I have to do for a short time but must working on it for a very long time, forever actually. It's not something that will happen overnight and suddenly I will be at my perfect weight, eating the perfect foods and have developed the perfect habits. It will require some work and a lifetime commitment from me, no one else. No one can do it ...
No one can do it for me. I must do it myself. But the support I have gotten from this site will be a big help. I'm not in this alone. I have friends and family to help me along the way. So, here to Happy Sparking and good luck on your journey. PS: Long term goal for 2012-Lose around 20 lbs and get rid of a lot of the midriff bludge. Short term goal- Celebrate Spring by being 8 lbs lighter. Another goal-get back to drinking 6 to 8 cups water per day. Daily goal-eat healthy if even it means going to the grocery often and exercise at least 15 minutes per day. Another 17 weeks of Weight Watchers should let me see some progress. So, beginning with WW on March 14th strive for a goal of 17 lbs in 17 weeks. That will start the summer off on a good note.

My Goals:
1. Stay with calorie range of 1200 to 1550. 2. Exercise at least 5 days per week. 3. Learn to run and backpack, two things I find hard to do. 4. Stay in the present.
My Program:
Eating healthy and exercising nearly every day. Remember to count calories even small ones as they add up. Rward myself for each small goal I obtain. Watch the emotional eating. It can trip you up.
Personal Information:
From Asheville, NC. Have been with the same company for 19 years. Hoping to retire in 5 years and want to find something very interesting and fun to do when I do retire. If I can't, I may work for another year or two if my health will let me.
Other Information:
Enjoy my two pets June Bug (cattle dog blue heeler) and Jackson (Jack Russell Terrier). Enjoy hiking. Working out with my workout buddy is fun too. We now have 2 more Jack Russells, Black Jack and Peanut Butter. They are precious.
