26 March 09: I can't believe it's been a year since I updated this page! Wow! Time flies. I had been doing quite well for a long time but last fall I started a new job and I can't get to the gym as much as I used to due to a long commute and a longer work day. So, I find myself with about 10 lbs that I need to get rid of. I WILL NOT buy bigger clothes! So, I started SPARKING again today. I know it works - I just have to DO IT!

20 March 08: The journey continues. It's not that hard, but the lifestyle changes are a part of my life. Smaller portions. Cardio 3 - 4 times per week. If I miss a day or two, it's okay. My body drives me to get back on track. I am so thankful to SP for being here to make this possible. I don't track all my food. I just track my fitness to get the points. And I keep coming back because perhaps I can help someone else who is just beginning this journey.

22 Nov 07: It really doesn't seem that long ago that I found SP and started on this journey. I am lean and healthy and although continue to stay committed to this new lifestyle. Fitness remains a priority even through job changes and different commitments in my life. I thought maintenance was going to be tough but it's not as hard as I thought it would be.


23 Oct 06: Well, I have arrived!! I turn 40 today and last week, I achieved my target weight of 125. I set my long-term goal: if I keep it off for TWO YEARS, I will buy myself a Harley! I feel great and shopping is fun instead of a drag! I sold four of my "fat" Gap jeans on eBay for $50! Yeehaw!

The most important thing I have learned so far on SP is that I have to always be conscious of eating on PURPOSE, not for any other reason. I have been blessed because I don't find that I eat for comfort, but there are moments when I miss desserts or "stupid food" like cheese curls! I eat them once in a while, as a small treat.

Eliminate unhealthy snacks as part of my routine.
Don't eat ANY seconds!
Hit the gym or walk at least 3 days a week



Personal Information:
I am a wife, mother to 4 kids and the typical super-mom! I work, take care of my family and volunteer at church. Life is busy but it's good to stay that way!

I am also in the Air National Guard.

I am a retired La Leche League leader/breastfeeding counselor.



Other Information:
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! Phil. 4:13.
