Hi! I am paperclipsue. I have tried sparkpeople before but did not keep up with it. In the process I have gained weight!! My goal is to lose 30 pounds before I get diabetes, high blood pressure . . . I am 63 years old and have 2 grandchildren. Another goal is to run an agility course with my dog, Colman. I have been taking dog agility lessons for about a year. Love every minute of it. We have practiced up to 20 obstacles at a time. Still learning.

My Goals:
My goals are to lose 36 pounds and gain energy. I want to be able to keep up with my 8 year-old twin grandchildren and my family. I also want to be able to keep up with my dog, Colman, in agility.


My Program:
I am tracking all my food and my fitness. My diet partner is Colman, my mini-poodle. Basically, I am walking and doing some strength training at home. We also have a small exercise room at our church.



Personal Information:
I retired after 34 years of teaching elementary music.

My husband and I have 3 adult sons.

My husband works on the family farm and is a musician (guitar, drums, mandolin, sings).

My oldest son sings tenor with a southern gospel quartet called "Witness".

My middle son is married and has the twin grandchildren-boy/girl.

My youngest son will be a juniorat IUPUC this fall.

I accompany our church choir, lead the praise band and I accompany our community choir.

In the summertime, I have the privilege to babysit my grandchildren. Life is good.


Other Information:
I love to read and I read: "The Spark". I found it very helpful for understanding the website and Spark plans.

I also love babysitting the grandkids, playing the piano/keyboard, scrapbooking, and playing games with my grandkids and my family. Also, I have great friends (on and off Spark People) who encourage me to keep "sparking".
I have been taking dog agility lessons for about 1 year. I LOVE IT!!!

    I am trying to get pictures of Izzy and will, but right now she runs so fast that I keep getting pictures of my carpet..no dog. LOL

    I need to get back on here. I am ready. I am getting a personal trainer. I can't believe I am doing that. I had a work out assessment today and it nearly killed me.
